Emily McConnell has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Emily'smost recent position is as the Head of Adult Learning at Mesa County Libraries, where they have been since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Literacy Program Specialist at Mesa County Public Library from 2016 to 2021, where they helped adult students improve their English and basic literacy skills. Before that, Emily was a DiscoveryFest Coach Team Lead at AmeriCorps from 2015 to 2016, where they structured recess activities for elementary school students. Emily also served as a Senior Resident Advisor at Tulane University from 2014 to 2015, overseeing a staff and promoting community development within residence halls. Emily's work experience also includes roles as a Middle and High School Tutor at Lusher Charter School from 2013 to 2014, as well as a KidzPlex Daycare Employee at KidzPlex from 2009 to 2014. Emily McConnell obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Tulane University in 2015.
