Kayla Andrews has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Kayla began their career as a Community Organizer and Sisters in Strength Intern at Girls for Gender Equity, where they conducted research on combating harassment and violence in schools. Kayla then transitioned to a role as a Supervisor at Victoria's Secret, where they managed a customer service team and focused on improving customer experience and meeting sales objectives.
Kayla's passion for education led their to work as a Teacher at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School, where they developed and taught a culturally-relevant history curriculum and provided equitable learning opportunities for students with disabilities. Kayla furthered their impact in the education field as an Operations Fellow at Uncommon Schools, where they co-led a school with the Principal to achieve organizational goals and managed various operational responsibilities.
Kayla also gained experience in event planning and management as a Senior Operations Associate at Success Academy Charter Schools. Kayla led strategic planning for community and internal events and managed a team of volunteers to provide support and customer service during these events.
Most recently, Kayla joined MESA Charter High School as the Director of Operations. In this role, they oversee the operational needs of the school and ensures smooth functioning to support student achievement.

Kayla Andrews has a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in History from the State University of New York at Old Westbury. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Secondary School Teaching from the State of New Jersey and the New York State Education Department.
