Tarek Abdeljawad has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on sterile drug product manufacturing and process development. Tarek is currently serving as the Executive Director of Sterile Drug Products at Mersana Therapeutics, where they started in 2020 as the Senior Director of Sterile Drug Product Manufacturing. Prior to that, they held positions at SQZ Biotechnologies, Merck, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline, and Dow Chemical, where they gained expertise in various areas such as external manufacturing, engineering, and process optimization. Tarek has a strong background in product technology transfer, process validation, and scale-up.

Tarek Abdeljawad earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick, from 2002 to 2006.
