Kalli Catcott has extensive experience in the field of bioconjugation and antibody-drug conjugate production. Kalli began their career at La Jolla Bioengineering Institute as a Research Intern, where they prepared vesicles and acquired fluorescence spectra. Kalli then moved on to work as a Quality Control Intern at Advanced Applied Adhesives.
In 2007, Catcott joined Life Technologies as a Production Associate, where they purified and validated polyclonal antibodies using chromatography techniques. Kalli also produced and optimized components for immunological assays as a Production Associate in the Assay department.
Catcott continued to progress in their career, becoming a Senior Associate Manufacturing Specialist at Life Technologies. In this role, they designed and executed purification methods for monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies and performed data analysis.
In 2011, Catcott worked as an Associate Scientist II at CV Partners, where they led a new department focused on developing antibody-fluorophore conjugation methods and assay development. Kalli was responsible for tracking the department's productivity and savings from process development.
Catcott then joined ImmunoGen, Inc. as a Research Associate, where they specialized in antibody-drug conjugations. Kalli produced antibody-drug conjugates for R&D purposes and prepared materials for toxicity studies. Kalli also conducted research on the conjugation platform and antibody-drug conjugates.
In 2012, Catcott began their PhD Candidate role at Northeastern University, working as a Research Assistant in the Zhou lab. Kalli'sresearch focused on methyltransferases and methylation, with activities including enzyme substrate engineering and protein labeling.
Most recently, Catcott worked at Mersana Therapeutics, starting as a Scientist in Bioconjugation and progressing to Senior Scientist and then Principal Scientist. In these roles, they were responsible for antibody-drug conjugate production and analysis, as well as leading conjugation efforts for new technologies and platforms. Kalli delivered materials for internal projects and collaborations.
Overall, Catcott's work experience demonstrates their expertise in bioconjugation, antibody-drug conjugate production, and assay development in various roles throughout their career.
Kalli Catcott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry from UC San Diego in the years 2003 to 2007. Later, Kalli pursued higher education and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from Northeastern University between 2012 and 2016.
