Lindsey Kenney

Active Education Program Director at Merrimack Valley YMCA

Lindsey Kenney has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Lindsey started as a Teachers Assistant at Newton Public Schools in August 2014 and worked until June 2015. From September 2015 to January 2017, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Brookline High School. Lindsey then joined Thundercats Sports as a Sports Camp Director from June 2013 to August 2017. In September 2017, they became an Active Science School Coordinator at Merrimack Valley YMCA, managing the implementation of the Active Science program in Lawrence, MA schools. Lindsey later took on the role of Active Education Program Director at Merrimack Valley YMCA from April 2018 to May 2021, where they were responsible for the Active Science program and worked with national Y partners. Lindsey currently holds the position of Active Education Program Director at Merrimack Valley YMCA, starting in August 2021, and is responsible for the implementation of the New Balance funded after school program and running programs. Overall, Lindsey has gained extensive experience in education and program management.

Lindsey Kenney has a diverse education history. Lindsey obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a major in Biology, General from Pine Manor College in the years 2002 to 2006. After that, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree at Rivier University from 2016 to 2018, although their field of study during this program is not specified. Subsequently, they enrolled at the University of South Florida from 2017 to 2020, where they focused on Physical Education Teaching and Coaching to obtain another Master of Education (MEd) degree. In addition to their formal education, Lindsey has also acquired certifications in CPR & AED from Merrimack Valley YMCA and Teacher Of English To Speakers Of Other Languages (TEFL) from the Boston Language Institute.
