Romit Shah is a Senior Data Science Engineer at Merrick Bank since October 2018, where responsibilities include collaborating with Data Scientists to enhance machine learning models, as well as improving analytics speed and accuracy through effective database management and automation. Prior roles at Merrick Bank included Senior Data Analyst, where Romit validated data accuracy and scored individuals using statistical algorithms, and Risk Analyst, focusing on database queries and auditing practices. Additional experiences include an Analyst Intern position at VirtualArmour, where Romit utilized Python for data extraction and automation, a Teaching Assistant role at the University of Utah assisting students in Data Structures and Java, and various technical support and application development roles at Accenture and Infosys Limited. Romit holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Utah and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
