Barry Latimer

SVP - Audience Platforms at Merkle

Barry Latimer is the VP Marketing Technology at Merkle, a global data-driven, technology-enabled performance marketing agency. Barry has over 18 years of experience in the industry, starting their career as a developer at Start in 2001. In 2005, they joined 5th Finger as CTO and was instrumental in the company's acquisition by Merkle in 2013.

Latimer is known for their ability to devise and implement critical parts of an organization's technical strategy and product roadmap. Barry is a strong advocate for company culture and has been successful in maximizing product development outcomes. Under their leadership, the 5th Finger team increased sales by 450% from 2009 to 2011.

Latimer has delivered the company's first million-dollar project and launched the Just For U mobile apps for Safeway with an overall client satisfaction rating of 9/10. Barry has also established the ongoing management of a six-person offshore development team to increase capacity by 100%+.

Barry Latimer attended The University of Auckland, where they studied computer science, and then went on to attend Kristin College.

They are on a team with Kerri Driscoll - VP, Marketing Strategy, Bansi Patel - Product Marketing Director, and Zach Simon - Vice President, Digital Marketing. Barry Latimer reports to Erin Hutchinson, Global Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.
