John S. has had extensive work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career in the US Army in 1997 as a Field Artillery Cannon Crew Member. John then served as an Operations Manager in different battalions and was responsible for maintenance, transportation, and supply and services.
In 2004, John joined the Army National Guard as a Recruiting and Retention NCO, where they recruited and retained qualified soldiers in accordance with regulations. John served in this role until 2009.
After their military service, John transitioned into civilian roles. John joined the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), where they held several positions, including Area Recruiting Manager, Recruiting District Manager, and Healthcare Recruiting District Manager. In these roles, they led teams, conducted market research, analyzed performance data, and implemented strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates.
John also worked at Merit, where they held various positions, including Director of Talent Acquisition, Director of Defense Operations, Senior Director of Staffing and Logistics, and currently serves as the Vice President of Staffing. In these roles, they managed recruitment procedures, identified high-potential candidates, negotiated roles, and oversaw initiatives with the Department of Defense.
Overall, John S. has a diverse background in recruitment, operations management, and leadership, both in the military and civilian sectors.
John S. began their education in 2006 at the NGB Professional Education Center, where they completed the Recruiting and Retention Course. In 2009, they attended the US Army Recruiting and Retention College for the Army Recruiter Course. In 2013, they completed the Station Commanders Course at the same institution. In 2015, they enrolled at the University of Arkansas Grantham and earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, General in 2018. During this time, in 2016, they also attended the US Army Recruiting and Retention College for the Army Medical Recruiting Course. In 2017, they briefly attended the National Defense University for Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education (SEJPME).
