Joel Alexander is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as the Regional Director and Chief Administrative Judge at the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board since March 2016, previously holding the position of Administrative Judge. Prior experience includes a role as Associate Legal Advisor at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from March 2011 to March 2016, and a Fulbright Fellowship as a Visiting Professor of Law at the University of Asmara in 2006. Joel's career also encompasses positions as an IT Specialist at IBM, a Peace Corps Volunteer, and a Staff Consultant at Broadway & Seymour. Academically, Joel holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.
