Chris Barnes is a seasoned investment banking professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Managing Director at JD Merit since March 2020, Chris has a proven track record in delivering specialized investment banking services, including business sales and capital raising. Prior to this, Chris held the position of Managing Director at Sarowdin Partners LLC, where a focus on small-cap companies under $20 million in enterprise value was emphasized. Chris's career includes significant contributions to Newalta as Vice President of Business Development, where innovative environmental solutions for the oil and gas sector were provided, as well as leadership roles at Gallagher Enterprises and Tucker Anthony Sutro. Chris's foundational experience in investment banking dates back to positions at Lehman Brothers and Cleary Gull Reiland & McDevitt. Chris holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
