Hurley Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Hurley started their career in 1980 as a Results Engineer at Houston Lighting and Power, where they worked until 1997. Hurley then founded All-Tex Networking Solutions and served as the company's President from 1997 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Intelligent Cabling Solutions, LLC as an Operations staff member and worked there until 2019. In 2019, they joined All Campus Security, initially as a Sales Support employee and later as a Sales Support Engineer / Project Manager. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Meriplex as a Project Coordinator.

Hurley Johnson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BME) from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Hurley attended the institute from 1975 to 1980. Additionally, they obtained a certification in RCDD from BICSI in May 2001.
