Douglas Pacaccio, DPM, FACFAS, currently serves as a Foot and Ankle Specialist at OrthoIllinois, a division of OrthoMidwest, since September 2024. Douglas is also the Director of the Northwest Illinois Foot and Ankle Surgical Fellowship since July 2017, focusing on advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and complex limb salvage. Douglas has an extensive background in surgical innovation, having founded MedShape, Inc. in 2003, where Douglas served as Inventor of the DynaNail and DynaNail Mini, and Douglas has contributed as a consultant to Stryker and restor3d, among other companies. Douglas holds a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and has completed a surgical residency at INOVA Fairfax Hospital/Georgetown University, complemented by undergraduate degrees in Biology and Philosophy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
