Toumy G. has an extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. They started their career in 2007 at the Digene Corporation as a Global Product Support Scientist III. They worked with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Center for Applied Genomics as a Senior Scientist, Director, Genomics and Biorepository and with the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine as Director Research & Development, CLIA lab, Clinical and Translational Genetics, Assistant Professor, Director, Genome Technology Assessment and Implementation, Director, Oncogenomics Core Facility, and Director, Small Animal Imaging Facility. At Roche Molecular Systems, they worked as a Director, Genetic Assay Development, while at Roche Sequencing Solutions, they worked as a Director, Early Development and Director, Reagent and Assay Development. They also worked as a Senior Director, Reagent and Assay Development at Roche Sequencing Solutions, and as a Director, Reagent Development, Pleasanton at Roche Molecular Systems. In the year 2021, they worked at GRAIL, Inc as a Senior Director, Reagent Development. Currently, Toumy is serving as Head of Product Development at Scale Biosciences, Inc and waiting to start their new role of Chief Scientific Officer at Mercy BioAnalytics, Inc.

Toumy G. received a Vordiplom degree in Biology from the University of Potsdam from 1991 to 1993. From 1995 to 2002, Toumy G. obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
