Nyssa Brewer is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the fields of chemical and materials engineering. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Mercury NZ since May 2021, Nyssa previously held multiple roles at Oji Fibre Solutions, including Area Manager - Recovery & Causticising and Plant Engineer, from August 2015 to May 2021. Prior to that, Nyssa worked as a Process Engineer at Carter Holt Harvey, focusing on continuous improvement, data analysis, production support, and maintenance supervision from January 2012 to August 2015. Nyssa's early career includes positions as a Research Student at the Light Metals Research Centre and a Summer Process Engineering Student at New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Limited. Nyssa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering from The University of Auckland and a Master's Degree in Bioresource Engineering from Monash University.
