Jason Pang is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data science and analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Mercury NZ since May 2022, Jason previously held the role of Senior Information Analyst at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment from August 2021 to May 2022. Prior to that, Jason worked as a Data Analyst at PHARMAC - Te Pātaka Whaioranga, where responsibilities included developing and maintaining databases and performing analyses to support decision-making. Early career experience includes a Data Scientist Intern position at Air New Zealand, focusing on a seat allocation model using reinforcement learning, and a Data Analyst intern role at Recur Container Transport & Logistics, where Jason built mathematical models for business performance analysis. Jason holds a Master of Applied Computing from Lincoln University and a Master of Analytics from Auckland University of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from South-Central University for Nationalities.
