Ben Jefferies has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ben currently holds the position of Global Head of Digital Communications at Mercuria. Previously, they worked at bp, where they held various roles, including Head of Digital, Head of Global Digital Publishing, Director of Social Media Strategy, Strategy Advisor, and Strategy & Portfolio Associate. Prior to their time at bp, Ben worked as a Strategy, Planning & Marketing Manager at BP Bitumen, a Trade Control Analyst at BP Integrated Supply & Trading, an Optimisation Engineer at a refinery and petrochemicals facility, and a Chemical Engineer at BP Chemicals. Throughout their career, they have been involved in developing digital strategies, managing digital publishing activities, and driving social media participation strategies. Ben has also been responsible for analyzing industry competition, developing marketing strategies, and designing manufacturing value chains.

Ben Jefferies studied at the University of Nottingham from 1993 to 1997, earning a M.Eng degree in Chemical Engineering.
