Zach Monge is an accomplished data science leader currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Merck since February 2021, where the focus is on integrating real world data and machine learning to guide strategies within Global Medical & Scientific Affairs in oncology. Prior to this role, Zach held positions as Associate Director and Data Scientist at Covance, providing critical insights to improve the efficiency of clinical trials through advanced data products. Zach's academic background includes a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology & Psychology from Boston University. Experience also includes roles as a Teaching Assistant at Duke and a Programmer at Furniture East Inc., in addition to serving as a Clinical Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania.
