Andrea Lai is a highly experienced professional in the field of oncology and biomedical informatics, currently serving as Director and Principal Scientist for Companion Diagnostics at Merck since June 2022. Prior to this role, Andrea held various positions at Foundation Medicine from August 2015 to June 2022, including Senior Director of Translational Oncology & Clinical Reporting, and progressed through multiple leadership roles in translational oncology and biomedical informatics. Earlier experience includes serving as a Scientific Marketing Specialist at STEMCELL Technologies, focusing on pluripotent stem cell biology. Andrea Lai earned a PhD in Biochemistry from McGill University and holds a Master's degree in Pathology and Molecular Medicine, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Life Science from Queen's University.
