Jan Kirsten currently serves as the Global Senior Vice President and Head of the CEO Office & Executive Strategic Initiatives at Merck Group since January 2024. Previously, Jan Kirsten held multiple leadership roles at Merck Healthcare, including President & Managing Director for Merck Italia and Malta, as well as the Global SVP and Head of the Fertility Business, where significant achievements included portfolio expansion and successful navigation through the COVID-19 crisis. Additionally, Jan Kirsten has a diverse background in business development and strategy from roles at Siemens Healthineers and other organizations, complemented by extensive academic qualifications including a PhD in Business Management from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
