Peter Rooney joined the Group in 2014 and negotiates new investments on behalf of the SME Loans Fund. He is responsible both for sourcing investment opportunities across the region and assessing their suitability from a performance perspective prior to investment. Peter is based in the Preston office, and works with small to medium and start-up companies in and around the Lancashire region.

Peter is also a member of the Mercia Spirit Committee, a group-wide programme translating our values into worthy initiatives and Mercia O2 Committee – offering the benefits of diverse opinions, ideas and points of view.
