Aaron Lightman is a seasoned legal and business professional with extensive experience in finance, business law, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Merchant Opportunities Fund since July 2019, Aaron has played a pivotal role in diversifying the fund's activities to provide capital to various fintech credit originators. In addition to this role, Aaron is the Chief Legal Officer at Merchant Growth, where the focus is on providing accessible financing options for small businesses in Canada. Aaron is also the Co-Founder, President, and Director of Spade & Sparrows Wine Ltd., and operates Lightman Law Corporation, which aids entrepreneurs and companies in achieving their goals through legal support in business law, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Aaron practiced law at Mogan Daniels Slager LLP and another law firm, contributing to entrepreneurial success. Aaron holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Simon Fraser University.
