Maya K. Hartmann is an experienced curator and exhibition designer with a diverse background in museum management and outreach. Currently serving as the Curator of Exhibits at Mercer Museum since January 2015, Maya previously managed weekend operations at the American Swedish Historical Museum while contributing to various exhibitions as a graduate assistant. As Director of Outreach for Project Meanwhile, Maya demonstrated leadership in community engagement and branding initiatives. Additional experience includes an exhibition design internship at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and extensive work as a self-employed artist, designer, and exhibition consultant. Maya holds a BFA in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and has participated in significant artistic exhibitions and projects throughout the career.
