Maria Shi is an experienced Human Resources professional currently serving as a Human Resources Business Partner at Mercedes-Benz China since October 2022. Prior to this role, Maria held the position of Human Resources Generalist at Bentley Systems, supporting a technical team across multiple locations in China and other Asia-Pacific regions. Responsibilities included recruitment, training, employee relations, and various HR projects such as succession planning and salary benchmarking. Earlier experiences include HR Manager/Recruiter at Grok Global Services, Recruitment Specialist at Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resources Service Co., Ltd., and internships such as the IELTS Examiner Recruitment Assistant at the British Council. Maria holds two Master’s degrees in International Human Resource Management from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and London South Bank University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Beijing International Studies University. Language training in Spanish at Universidad de Alcalá was also completed.
