Leo Plumer

Research Assistant (policy) at Mercatus Center

Leo Plumer is a Research Assistant (Policy) at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University since June 2023, previously serving as a Research Consultant and Editor in self-employment from October 2021 to March 2022, and as a Research Intern at The Fraser Institute from May 2021 to August 2021. Leo's earlier experience includes roles as an MA Fellow at the Mercatus Center from August 2018 to August 2020, a Poverty & Healthcare Intern at the Niskanen Center in June 2019, and a Research Analyst & Operations Assistant at the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS) from December 2016 to December 2017, alongside an internship at AIMS in June 2016. Leo was also a Senior Campus Coordinator and Conference Director at Students For Liberty from July 2014 to July 2016, demonstrating leadership in organizing events and managing logistics. Furthermore, Leo has experience as the Quebec Representative for the Canadian Political Science Students' Association and as an Intern at the Regulatory Studies Center at George Washington University. Leo holds a Master of Arts in Economics from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from McGill University.
