Amit Agarwal has extensive work experience in data science, operations research, and software development. Amit is currently the Chief Data Scientist at MeraPashu360, where they are leading the development of a disruptive platform for dairy farmers in India. Prior to this, they were the Director of Data Science at Ola, where they played a key role in developing data-driven solutions for Ola Electric and Ola Cars, including machine learning models for electric vehicle range prediction and fault analysis. Amit also implemented voice assistants, chatbots, and automation systems during their time at Ola. Before joining Ola, Amit worked as the Senior Director of Operations Research and Data Science at Optym, where they led the development of optimization-based software solutions for Indian Railways. Amit also worked at Sabre Airline Solutions as the Regional Head of Operations Research and Data Science, where they led multiple projects including the development of a machine learning-based solution to optimize ancillary service pricing for Etihad Airways. Amit's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Research Development and Project Manager at Optym, where they developed innovative solutions for rail and mining industries. Amit started their career at IBM Research India as a Research Associate, focusing on social network analysis, and also worked as a Research Assistant at Eicher Motors Limited, where they developed a simulation software for truck assembly line design. Amit Agarwal completed their Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2006. Amit then pursued a Master of Science in Operations Research and Statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they completed in 2008.
