Shannon Otto has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. They started their career in 2000 as a Social Worker at Licensed Master of Social Work, where they worked until 2010. In 2007, they also took on a role as an Adjunct Professor at Luna Community College.

In 2015, Shannon transitioned into the art field and became an Installation Artist. They then worked as a Costume Designer in 2016 before joining Meow Wolf in 2017 as a Performance Artist. They also fulfilled the role of a Special fx Makeup Artist in the same year.

More recently, Shannon worked on film productions, including "God Is A Bullet Movie" and "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight Movie," where they served as a Costumer and Key Costumer, respectively. In 2022, they joined IATSE Local 480 as a Costumer.

Shannon Otto obtained a Master's degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University, attending from 2001 to 2004. In November 2020, Shannon also obtained the certifications of Master Social Worker and Clinical Social Worker from the same institution.
