Jennifer van Wiel

Jennifer Van Wiel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Recently, they worked at Meow Wolf as an Executive Assistant in the Design & Production department. Prior to that, Jennifer served as a Corporate Paralegal at Meow Wolf.

Before joining Meow Wolf, Jennifer worked for the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General as a Certified Paralegal from 2019 to 2022. Jennifer also held the same role at Sommer Udall Hardwick & Jones, PA from 2017 to 2019, Bardacke Allison LLP from 2016 to 2017, and the Office of the New Mexico Attorney General from 2014 to 2016, where they were responsible for tasks such as preparing court documents, organizing discovery, and filing documents.

Jennifer's earlier experience includes working as a Marketing and Buyer Coordinator, Managing Broker, and Realtor at Bennion & Deville from 2012 to 2014. At this position, they assisted clients with legal descriptions, contract compliance, and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements. Jennifer also has experience as a Paralegal at the Office of the New Mexico Attorney General from 2010 to 2012, where they researched legislation, prepared exhibits, and presented at legislative committee meetings.

Furthermore, Jennifer worked as a Paralegal at Hurley, Toevs, Styles, Hamblin and Panter, P.A. from 2009 to 2010, where they drafted legal documents and produced estate planning documents. In addition, they have experience in the real estate industry, having worked as an Associate Broker and Realtor at Coldwell Banker Legacy from 2007 to 2008, and as a Buyers Agent, Transaction Coordinator, and Realtor at Windermere Real Estate from 2001 to 2006.

Throughout their career, Jennifer has gained expertise in various legal and administrative tasks, drawing on their skills in document preparation, research, organization, and client service.

Jennifer Van Wiel has a strong educational background in communication and speech-related fields. Jennifer obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from Iowa State University, graduating in 1990. Jennifer then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders and Speech Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed from 1992 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Jennifer has also pursued further certifications and professional development. In 2008 and 2009, they obtained a Post-Graduate Paralegal Certificate from Central New Mexico Community College.

Recently, Jennifer has been actively enhancing their skills and knowledge in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Jennifer has obtained multiple certifications in various topics from LinkedIn, including Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues, How to Be an Inclusive Leader, Inclusion During Difficult Times, Advocating for Change in Your Organization, and many more. These certifications were obtained between January and February 2023. These additional certifications reflect Jennifer's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
