Dan Bauer

Dan Bauer has extensive work experience, beginning in 1981 with Bancorp Hawaii as Vice President and Director of Marketing. In this role, they managed a 20-person division providing marketing planning and communications for the bank. In 1989, Dan interned at Temple Barker Sloan (now Mercer) while attending Harvard Business School, where they created a new service offering and led analysis of domestic markets for a home furnishings retailer. In 1990, Dan joined Citibank as Vice President and National Marketing, planning and leading direct-marketing initiatives targeting households across the U.S. In 1992, Dan moved to MasterCard International as Senior Vice President and Global Debit Marketing. In 1996, Dan founded and became CEO of The MBA Exchange, a global education and career consulting firm. In 1998, Dan became President of Bauer & Associates, a marketing, competitive strategy, branding, research and communications consulting firm for growing companies worldwide. In 1999, Dan joined MonogramGroup as Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and Research. In 2016, Dan became Senior Advisor to the CEO of Bauer Entertainment Marketing, a multi-award winning, full-service marketing agency. In 2019, Dan founded Inc. Young Entrepreneurs, an entrepreneurship education program for high-school students in collaboration with Inc. Magazine, the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), and Summer Discovery. In 2022, Dan began working as a Business Mentor for Mentorcam, providing actionable guidance, advice and feedback to founders of early-stage ventures.

Dan Bauer received their MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990, specializing in General Management, Strategy and Marketing. Dan completed a Graduate School of Retail Bank Management program at the University of Virginia from 1982 to 1984. Dan attended the Business of Banking School at Cornell University in 1981. Dan received a BSJ, summa cum laude, from Ohio University in 1971, where they studied from 1967 to 1971.
