Sanyu Gichie has been in the software engineering field since 2013. Sanyu began their career as the Solutions Not Suspensions Campaign Manager at the Youth Organizing Institute, where they collected, monitored, analyzed and reported data, and advanced their use of Excel to manage projects. Sanyu then moved on to Coder Foundry in 2016, where they created a personal portfolio website using C#, MVC5 and JavaScript. In the same year, they took a contract with Matrix as an IT Developer, developing client-side and server-side components for various clients using HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, ASP. NET Web Forms, VB. NET, SQL and C #. Sanyu then worked as a Software Developer at NC Farm Bureau from 2017 to 2019, before joining Lenovo as a Software Developer in 2019. Currently, they are a Sr. Software Engineer at Mentor Spaces.
Sanyu Gichie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy Analysis and Political Science. Prior to that, they attended Enloe High School, where they studied Public Policy. In April 2020, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
