Paul Fentress has a diverse range of work experience. Paul started their career in 2013 at HelloFresh USA, where they began as an assembly line worker and eventually became an Inventory/Warehouse Supervisor. During their time there, they implemented an inventory counting system using Excel spreadsheets and electric scales.
In 2015, Paul worked as a Shipping Receiving Specialist at Miyoko's, where they were responsible for handling shipping and receiving tasks.
From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Cashier at Good Earth Natural Foods, where they handled customer transactions.

Paul's most recent position is as a Machine Learning Engineer at Bio1 Systems, Inc. Paul utilizes structured medical data to predict long-term outcomes of TBI through data analysis and machine learning. Paul has developed an experiment pipeline using Python and various machine learning libraries to conduct and evaluate numerous machine learning experiments.
In 2022, Paul interned as a Machine Learning Engineer at Research Square Company, where they engineered data mining CLI tools, isolated errors in training data, and prepared models for production.
Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and programming, making him a valuable asset in the field.
Paul Fentress has a bachelor's degree in Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned an associate's degree in Mathematics from the College of Marin, studying from 2016 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, Paul has completed two certifications. Paul obtained the Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals certification from Coursera in March 2023. Furthermore, in January 2022, they completed a Coursera certification in Mathematics for Machine Learning: Linear Algebra.
