Jennifer Bond provides executive leadership and operational coordination for patient care services and nursing practice activities as vice president and chief nursing officer at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She focuses on implementation of patient-centered care delivery models, evidence-based standards of patient care, performance improvement activities that optimize safety and effective utilization of resources and ongoing monitoring of patient, staff and organizational outcomes. Jennifer also oversees the efforts to maintain SMH’s designation as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Bond began her career at Memorial as a registered nurse in 2005. She has served as a nursing outcome improvement facilitator and most recently as director of professional nursing practice. Bond earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master of science degree in nursing education from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Bond earned a post-master’s certificate in executive nursing administration and doctor of nursing practice in executive nursing administration degree from the University of South Alabama.
Bond is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders. She holds nurse executive board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
