Hock Choon Tan has over 25 years of work experience, with a strong background in the technology industry. Hock Choon started their career at Hewlett-Packard in 1996 and worked as a Process Engineer and Senior Systems Interaction Senior Engineer. During this time, they were a part of a worldwide plating design project team and conducted printer system interaction testing for new product launches. Tan also holds a US Patent for their invention.

In 2002, Tan joined Hewlett-Packard Singapore as an Asia Pacific Regional Technical Marketing Engineer. Hock Choon was responsible for training HP inkjet supplies engineering and support teams and served as a technical speaker for Science of Printing Seminars in the Asia Pacific region. Hock Choon was also a member of the New Business Creation (NBC) review board, providing guidance and mentorship to new development engineers.

Moving forward, Tan took on various roles at Hewlett-Packard, including Asia Pacific Competitive Intelligence Lead and Technical Marketing Manager. As the AP Marketing lead, they promoted printer solutions for mid-market and enterprise segments and created integrated solutions booklets for HP sales. Tan also played a significant role in toner yield analysis for sell-against material generation for aftermarket supplies teams.

In 2011, Tan joined Memjet Technology as the Quality Manager, where they managed a team of local and China-based ODM production and quality engineers. Hock Choon implemented processes to improve quality control and conducted technical discussions with key Memjet customers and partners in the Asia Pacific region. Later, they became the Director of Current Product Engineering and oversaw the Singapore-based engineering team, ensuring that products were manufactured to the required specifications.

Throughout their career, Tan has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. Hock Choon'sdiverse experiences have equipped him with a deep technical knowledge and an ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Hock Choon Tan completed their secondary education at Hwa Chong Junior College from 1988 to 1989. Hock Choon then pursued higher education at the National University of Singapore from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree with a focus on Mechanical & Production Engineering.
