Steve Whiteley has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Steve began their career at Sainsbury's as a Shop Assistant, where they gained experience in replenishing chilled food and managing meat and fish counters. Following this, they worked at Surrey and Berkshire Newspapers Limited as a Content Editor, where they were responsible for various tasks such as creating advertisements and developing websites.
Later, Steve joined Fubra Limited as a Senior Web Developer, where they initially updated and improved consumer-based websites. Steve quickly progressed to become the Head of Platform Services, taking on additional responsibilities in maintaining and troubleshooting the company's websites. During their tenure, Steve played a key role in designing and implementing the Fubra Passport, the company's single log-in system.
In 2010, alongside their full-time employment, Steve started working as a self-employed Web Developer. This allowed him to expand their skill set and take on various web development projects, such as creating PHP classes, developing WordPress themes/plugins, and conceptualizing new website ideas.
In 2015, Steve joined DotLabel Ltd as a Web Developer, focusing on back-end development using frameworks like Silverstripe and Symfony. Steve worked in collaboration with designers and front-end developers to create web applications and also took on server administration tasks.
Currently, Steve is employed at Memiah Limited as the Head Of Engineering. Their role involves overseeing the engineering department and ensuring smooth operations. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company.

Steve Whiteley attended Tomlinscote School and Sixth Form College from 1997 to 2002. During their time there, they studied Maths, Science, Geography, History, P.E, English, Spanish, I.T, and Business Studies. From 2002 to 2004, they then went on to study at The Sixth Form College Farnborough, where they focused on Computing, Graphic Products, Graphic Art, IT, and Media Studies. In addition to their formal education, Steve obtained certifications such as the Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Infrastructure as a Service from Red Hat, Inc. in October 2013 and the MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) from MikroTik in July 2012.
