Ira Halperin serves as the Chairman of the Corporate and Business Group at Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone LLP since February 2003, bringing extensive expertise in complex mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, corporate financings, and venture capital investments. Recognized in the Long Island Business News Who's Who in Corporate Law, Ira has represented various stakeholders, including buyers, sellers, and boards of directors, in high-stakes transactions. Previously, Ira held the position of Corporate Counsel at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and Corporate Associate at Kaye Scholer. Between 1983 and 1995, Ira served in various CFO roles and worked as an Audit Manager at KPMG. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, an MBA from the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Cornell University.
