Ianna Angelo is a senior events manager at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation where she leads the planning and production of internal and public-facing events that amplify shared goals toward a more just, equitable, and vibrant society. Ms. Angelo has a decade of experience in event production, partnership building, and engagement strategies, with past positions at The Municipal Art Society of New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. She loves how events have the ability to inspire ideas, propel the action, and connect people. She has planned events in a range of formats and scalesāfrom intimate fundraising receptions, large gala dinners, and award presentations, to full-day conferences, craft fairs, and even an urban walking festival for over 70 thousand in-person and virtual attendees.
Born in San Diego, California, Ms. Angelo is a proud Banana Slug and graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in anthropology and a minor in the history of art and visual culture.
