Rebecca Reed currently serves as the Director of Quality and Improvement at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Rebecca held multiple leadership positions at Safer Care Victoria from April 2019 to April 2023, including Director of the 100,000 Lives Program, which aimed to significantly improve health outcomes for Victorians. Rebecca also led improvement initiatives and capabilities, contributing to a 21% reduction in stillbirth rates through collaborations with clinicians and consumers. Earlier experience includes managing clinical networks at Safer Care Victoria and working as a Quality Lead Occupational Therapist at Eastern Health. Academic qualifications consist of a Master's degree in Health Service Management from Charles Sturt University and Bachelor's degrees in Occupational Therapy and Public Health from La Trobe University.
