Ed Relf has an extensive work experience spanning over 20 years. Ed is currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at MEL Science since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the same position at busuu from September 2018 to September 2020, where they played a significant role in rebuilding the global marketing process and developing a new approach to customer insight.
Furthermore, Ed Relf worked as a Marketing Coach, Consultant, and Advisor for various digital companies, providing full-stack marketing support and specialization in areas such as marketing management, processes, strategy, and planning. Ed held this role from 2012 to 2019.
Ed Relf co-founded Laundrapp, a consumer technology company disrupting the laundry industry, and served as its CEO and CMO from March 2014 to April 2018. Ed was instrumental in redefining the outsourced laundry and dry cleaning industry by introducing on-demand technology through a mobile app.
Before this, Ed Relf worked at Mind Candy as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) from February 2009 to August 2013. Ed played a crucial role in launching the educational brand Moshi Monsters and scaling it to over 100 million users globally.
Prior to that, Ed Relf co-founded Codemasters Online Gaming, a subsidiary of Codemasters, where they served as the Head of Global Marketing from August 2004 to February 2009. Ed was responsible for developing and publishing online gaming services globally and played a key role in growing Codemasters Online into one of Europe's most successful publishers in the MMORPG genre.
Ed Relf also worked at Games Workshop/Warhammer Online as the Head of Global Marketing from January 2002 to August 2004. Here, they led the marketing and communications efforts for the startup's first MMORPG release, "Warhammer Online," across international markets.
Ed'searlier experience includes working at Virgin as the Head of Marketing from January 2000 to January 2002, launching successful gaming franchises under the brand, and at Hasbro as an Assistant International Brand Manager and Product Manager from January 1998 to January 2000.
Ed Relf's education history includes various qualifications in marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. In 2008 to 2010, they pursued Chartered Institute of Marketing "CPD ¨C Continuing Professional Development." Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Advanced Certificate in Marketing (CIM) from 2002 to 2004 and a Certificate in Marketing (CIM) from 2000 to 2002.
Before their marketing education, Ed Relf studied at the University of the West of England. In 1996 to 1997, they pursued Graphic Design, and in 1995 to 1996, they studied Art, Media & Design.
