Karen Winkfield, MD, PhD, is the current Executive Director at Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance, where Karen leads a strategic partnership between Meharry Medical College and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Prior to this role, Karen was an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Wake Forest University and Director of the Office of Cancer Health Equity at Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additionally, Karen owns and operates KW Consulting LLC, offering expertise in health equity, community engagement, and diversity & inclusion. With a strong background in academia and leadership roles, Karen brings a wealth of experience to their current position.
