Maurice Foster has extensive work experience in various executive and legal roles. Maurice is currently serving as the General Counsel at MegaMind Media since January 2022. Prior to this, they were the Executive Director (Interim) at the National Bar Association starting from September 2020. Maurice also served as the Executive Director and General Counsel at MegaMind Media Inc. from January 2015.
Before joining MegaMind Media, Maurice held leadership positions at various organizations including the National Association of Black Journalists, where they served as the Executive Director from 2010 to 2014. Maurice also worked at the National Bar Association as the Deputy Executive Director from 2003 to 2010. Additionally, they were the Executive Director of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) from 2000 to 2003.
Maurice's career began at the National Bar Association in 1986, where they held multiple roles including Deputy Director, Director of Special Projects, and Managing Editor until 2000. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of the National Black Law Students Association from 1984 to 1986. Overall, Maurice Foster has a strong background in leadership, law, and media organizations.
Maurice Foster received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English from Rutgers University, where they attended from 1978 to 1982. Maurice then pursued their Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Antioch University, School of Law from 1983 to 1986. Additionally, in 1983, they briefly attended Yale University, although it is unknown whether they completed a degree or field of study there.
