Allen Shegay has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Allen is currently a Software Engineering Manager at MEGA The Privacy Company, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Affinity HR & Payroll as a Software Engineering Lead from March 2020 to March 2023 and as a Senior Software Developer from March 2018 to March 2020. Allen also served as a Director at Dango from October 2013 to October 2021. Before that, they worked at Fiserv Auckland (M-Com) as a Senior Software Developer from July 2012 to March 2018. Allen began their career at Kudos Solutions, working as a Developer from November 2010 to July 2012 and at The Hyperfactory as a Developer/Web Designer from October 2009 to June 2010.

Allen Shegay attended Massey University and obtained a First Class Honors Degree in Visual Communication Design. Prior to that, they went to Birkenhead College, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
