Betsy Bair is an experienced communications professional with a background in content creation and strategic consulting. Currently serving as a Contributing Editor at MeetingsNet since June 2023, Bair previously held the position of Writer for Next Chapter at Retirement from March to November 2023. From May 2016 to March 2023, Bair was the VP of Strategic Narratives at Velvet Chainsaw Consulting, where expertise in designing premium educational and networking experiences for events was provided. Prior roles include Executive Director of Content at MeetingsNet/Informa from 2000 to December 2015, where Bair transitioned magazine content to a Web-first environment, and Editor at The Laux Company from 1982 to 2000, responsible for developing several successful trade publications. Betsy Bair holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism/English Literature from the University of New Hampshire.
