Ian Pierson is a Senior Materials Engineer at Medtronic since October 2024, with extensive experience in materials science and engineering. Prior roles include Senior Scientist and Research Scientist at NatureWorks from June 2019 to October 2024, and various positions at Abbott, including Scientist II and Scientist I from June 2015 to May 2019. Ian also served as Project Lead for Engineers Without Borders USA, overseeing a project at the University of Minnesota and leading a team on an assessment trip to Bolivia. Previous internships include Chemical Engineering Intern at Flint Hills Resources and Research Scientist Intern at St. Jude Medical. Ian holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, completed in 2015.
