Susanne Bauman has a diverse work experience in the medical and scientific field. Susanne started their career as a Graduate Student at Duke University, where they conducted research on Pseudomonas aeruginosa outer membrane vesicles. Susanne then worked as a Research Associate at Duke University Medical Center before joining Novan, Inc. as a Biomaterials Scientist, where they set up a research laboratory and conducted assays to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of Novan compounds. Susanne later transitioned to Novan Therapeutics, where they served as a Discovery Biochemist and Senior Scientist, designing and coordinating toxicology and safety pharmacology studies. After that, they joined Education & Training Systems International (ETSI), taking on various roles including Manager of Medical and Scientific Content. Susanne'smost recent position is at MedThink Communications, where they currently work as an Associate Medical Director and previously served as a Senior Medical Writer.
Susanne Bauman obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware from 1995 to 1999. Susanne further pursued their education and earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Duke University, studying from 1999 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Susanne also obtained a Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) in December 2013.
