Maureen Carson Scudder is an experienced educator and independent college counselor with over 30 years in the field. Currently serving as a College Essay Advisor since January 2020, Maureen provides guidance throughout the college application process. In addition, Maureen has held the position of Director Writing Advisor at MedSchoolCoach since February 2021, assisting medical school applicants in their writing. As an Adjunct Professor of English and Communications at Tunxis Community College, Maureen teaches various courses including Public Speaking and Composition. Previous roles include Director of Communications at Northwest Catholic High School and The Cobb School Montessori, as well as House Director at Miss Porter's School. Maureen's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in English from Trinity College-Hartford and a Master of Arts in Africana Studies from the University at Albany.
