Thomas Bøtker Mortensen

VP Commercial Excellence at Mediq

Thomas Bøtker Mortensen has a diverse range of work experience. Thomas Bøtker started their career in 1995 as a Major (R) in the Combat Arms of the Royal Danish Army. Thomas Bøtker served in various roles within the Army, including Captain, Danish Battle Group, Iraq and First Lieutenant (R).

In 2011, they became the Interim Commercial Director at Go Play and Unique Playgrounds, where they managed the daily operations of these companies. Thomas Bøtker then joined KOMPAN Ireland in 2012, where they served as the Sales Development Manager of KOMPAN Australia and later as the Executive Assistant to the KOMPAN Group.

Moving forward, they worked at KOMPAN UK as the Sales Operation Manager before joining KOMPAN A/S in a similar role as the Group Tender Specialist. Thomas Bøtker also served as the Sales Development Manager for the KOMPAN Group.

Thomas Bøtker then became the Sales Operation Director at KOMPAN Inc Americas, where they managed the sales operation and relocated the office from Tacoma, Washington to Austin, Texas. Thomas Bøtker subsequently worked as the Commercial Director of KOMPAN Design Studio & Manufacturing Berlin, overseeing the commercial scope of the business and developing sales and marketing tools.

Most recently, Thomas worked at KOMPAN A/S as the Group Marketing Director, leading various teams responsible for product management, marketing communication, and sales design & visualization excellence.

In 2023, they will join Mediq as the VP Commercial Excellence.

Thomas Bøtker Mortensen has an extensive education history. Thomas Bøtker obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they also worked as a Doctoral Student and Scientific Assistant. Additionally, they completed a Master's degree in Business Administration in Marketing and Management from the same university. Thomas also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Thomas Bøtker further pursued their education at the Canadian Army Command and Staff College, specializing in Operational Planning Process at Brigade level and higher. To enhance their academic endeavors, they briefly studied as a Doctoral Student at Stanford University. Thomas began their education at the Lieutenant School and the Sergeant School, acquiring combat arms training in the Army.
