Marijana Vasilescu has extensive experience in various leadership positions in the banking and consumer goods industries. Marijana is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at MediGroup Srbija. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Sberbank CZ, a.s. from August 2021 to July 2022. Before that, Marijana worked at Sberbank Srbija a.d. Beograd, where they served as the President of the Executive Board from December 2016 to August 2021 and as a Member of the Executive Board, Retail Banking from September 2013 to November 2016. Marijana also held positions at Home Credit Bank Kazakhstan and RBS International. At RBS International, they served as the Head of Retail and Preferred Banking RBS Romania, Corporate Director, Deputy Head of Retail and Preferred Banking, Head of Marketing and Communications, and Country Head Affluent Banking at ABN AMRO / Royal Preferred Banking Romania. Prior to that, they worked at ABN AMRO as the Consumer Banking Head Russia and Marketing Head Consumer Banking Romania. Marijana Vasilescu began their career at Mars as an In Market Activity Manager Romania and later worked at Unilever as a Senior Brand Manager Deo.

Marijana Vasilescu received their Executive MBA from London Business School in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Trade and Marketing from Academia de Studii Economice din București, which they completed between 1991 and 1996. Additionally, Marijana has obtained certifications as a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci and attended the World Business Forum NYC in 2022.
