Kristina Daniel Lawson has a diverse work experience, primarily in law and regulatory roles. Kristina started their career as a Partner in the Land, Environment & Natural Resources Division at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP from August 2011 to April 2017. Kristina then joined Hanson Bridgett LLP in April 2017 as the Managing Partner/Chief Executive, where they oversaw various legal areas such as land use and environmental law, regulatory/government law, and real estate law. In 2015, Kristina became a Member and Voting Delegate at the Federation of State Medical Boards and also served as Immediate Past President at the Medical Board of California. Kristina was appointed by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. in 2015 and reappointed by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2022 to serve as a public member. Additionally, they held leadership positions such as Chair of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee at Bay Area Council starting in December 2020. Kristina also contributed to various organizations as a Board Member or Trustee, including Meals on Wheels Diablo Region, California Health Professions Education Foundation, Swords to Plowshares, and Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority. Kristina is also a Member of the Emeriti Advisory Board Circle at the Center for Law, Energy & the Environment at Berkeley Law.
Kristina Daniel Lawson attended San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, CA from 1992 to 1995. Kristina then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science at the University of Arizona from 1995 to 1998. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to earn a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Santa Clara University School of Law from 1999 to 2002.
