Peter Monson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in special investigations and fraud detection in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as the Director of the Special Investigations Unit at Medica since August 2022, Peter previously held the position of Manager and Principal Investigator at UCare from January 2019 to August 2022. Earlier roles include Lead Investigator at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General, where Peter coordinated complex healthcare fraud investigations, and Investigator, focusing on Medicaid fraud allegations. Peter's prior experience also encompasses positions as a Pretrial & Probation Officer in Chisago County and a Court Counselor at Project Remand. Academically, Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from North Dakota State University and a Mini MBA from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business.
