Leora Trent

Deputy Sheriff Paramedic at MedCare Ambulance

Leora Trent has extensive experience in emergency medical services, law enforcement, and education, currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff/Paramedic at Medcare Ambulance since 2016. With a long-standing commitment to public service, Leora has been involved with Volunteer County EMS since June 1980 in various capacities including EMT-B and Paramedic. Previous roles include Probation Officer at Pike County Municipal Court, Vista Volunteer with the United States government, Victim Advocate for the Pike County Partnership Against Domestic Violence, and Teacher at Scioto Valley Local Schools. Leora holds a Certificate in Paramedic from Shawnee State University, a Law Enforcement/Correction Officer degree from the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy, a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Xavier University, and a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Ohio University. Additional continuing education in Educational Psychology was pursued at the University of Dayton.
