Jian Kang started working as an Analyst Internship at Tencent in May 2019 and completed the internship in September 2019. In June 2021, Kang joined River Logic as a Consultant, where they developed, implemented, and maintained data visualization solutions using Power Bi and Tableau. Kang also reported and analyzed data visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders. In 2023, Kang joined Med-Metrix as a Business Analyst.

Jian Kang's education history begins in 2016 when they enrolled at Texas A&M University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Actuarial Science. They completed their undergraduate studies in 2020.

In the following year, from 2020 to 2021, Jian Kang attended Southern Methodist University, earning a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics.

In addition to their academic achievements, Jian Kang has obtained certifications. In January 2021, they became a Tableau Desktop Specialist certified by Tableau Software. Prior to that, in March 2020, they obtained the EXAM FM certification from the Society of Actuaries.
